Center Based ABA Therapy

Hybridge Learning’s Centers offer our learners the versatility of acquiring skills in a center-based setting. The Center is a wonderful supplement to a half-day program or, by itself, as a stand-alone program. Learners will engage in a variety of activities from individual 1:1 to a small group with the focus always being on each learner’s individual skill acquisition programs. Further, insurance coverage will fund Center services for most learners.

Stable learning environment controlled by ABA & autism experts

What Are the Benefits of Center-Based ABA Therapy?

Center-based ABA therapy gives children a structured environment designed for consistent learning, social growth, and skill development. Unlike home settings, therapy centers create more opportunities for focused instruction, peer interaction, and supervised practice throughout the day.

At Hybridge Learning, center-based ABA can help children:

– Build social and communication skills with peers

– Improve transitions, routines, and adaptability

– Practice academic readiness and classroom behaviors

– Strengthen emotional regulation and independence

– Learn in an environment led by trained ABA professionals

Research shows that combining home and center-based services can increase learning opportunities and improve skill mastery.

A higher rate of learning with a comprehensive approach to therapy

Research has shown that “participants who received both home and center-based services had mastered 100% more per hour while at the center than at home. These analyses indicated that participants demonstrated higher rates of learning during treatment that was provided in a center setting than in the participant’s home” (Dixon et al. 2017).

Comprehensive Center Services Programming

ABA Therapy

Similar to home programming, we take a systematic, yet fun, approach to learning and gaining skills. Center-based programming allows us to control the environment so we may contrive learning opportunities for your child at a higher rate than in the home or community. Your child will also have the opportunity to gain skills in group instruction, social communication and engagement, and generalization.

Summer ABA Program

Don’t let all of that hard work throughout the year slip away during those summer months! HL offers an opportunity to extend your child’s learning throughout the summer to help them practice and maintain their skills for the next school year.

Social Skills Group

Social Skills Training (SST) is an evidence-based method of adult-directed instruction in which social skills are targeted for improvement. Learners with ASD often struggle with social impairments, in which understanding the back and forth of social interaction is difficult. SST can be used to address foundational social skills such as imitation, initiating interactions, and understanding and regulating emotions.

SST is frequently implemented through 1:1 instruction, but there are many benefits to generalizing target skills to a group environment via a Social Skills Group made up of peers. This allows for facilitated practice in controlled settings to help teach participants what to do in a more natural environment and allows for same-age peer models.

How Do I Choose the Right ABA Therapy Center for My Child?

Choosing the right ABA therapy center means finding a program that matches your child’s developmental needs, learning style, and family goals. Every child with autism benefits from individualized care, so it’s important to ask the right questions.

When evaluating ABA therapy centers near you, consider:

– Does the center create personalized treatment plans?

– Are Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) overseeing care?

– Does the center offer social skills opportunities?

– Are parents involved in goal-setting and progress updates?

– Does the center accept your insurance?

– Are additional therapies like speech or occupational therapy available?

Hybridge Learning offers individualized programs, collaborative care, and family-centered support across multiple locations.

Available Exclusively At Our Freehold, NJ Center

Speech Therapy

Our speech-language pathologists have a breadth of experience working with learners with autism and other special needs where speech and language are affected. Our SLPs will assess your child and create a specific plan to target language production, oral motor movements, feeding, and/or any area of concern. Further, if your child uses an augmentative device or sign language to communicate, please know our SLPs have the skill set to help your child advance.

Occupational Therapy

Your child may experience difficulty with specific motor movements, motor planning, and/or managing their body in space. If this is the case, our occupational therapists will work with your child on creating an individualized plan with objectives that incorporate practice routines designed to target the area(s) of concern. Our occupational therapists make it easier for individuals to participate in physical activities, play, and maintain balance and coordination.

Frequently Asked Center Based ABA Questions

Is center-based ABA therapy better than in-home ABA therapy?

Both settings can be effective. Center-based ABA offers more structured learning, peer interaction, and access to multiple specialists, while in-home therapy helps with natural environment skill building. Many families benefit from a combination of both.

What happens during a child's first day at an ABA therapy center?

The first day typically includes introductions, observations, pairing with therapists, and beginning baseline assessments. The goal is to help your child feel comfortable and start building trust.

Does insurance cover ABA therapy at Hybridge Learning?

Many insurance providers cover ABA therapy services when medically necessary. Hybridge Learning works with families to verify benefits and guide them through the approval process.

What ages do you accept at your ABA therapy centers?

Hybridge Learning supports children and learners across a wide range of developmental stages. Age eligibility may vary depending on location and program needs.

How do I know if my child is a good candidate for center-based ABA therapy?

Children who benefit from structured routines, social interaction, and intensive skill-building may be strong candidates for center-based ABA. A consultation can help determine the best fit for your child’s goals.
