HLG Happenings April 2015

In our last update, I told you all about the events we had coming up. Here is how things have been going:

World Autism Awareness Day

April 2 was World Autism Awareness Day. To show our support, the office had a dress-down day so we could all wear our blue! Kelly brough in her selfie stick and we had some fun posing together! Here is the Central NJ crew (and Shadia on one of her last days of training before heading to North NJ)! We had to stand in front of our “Hybridge Blue” wall to really drive the point home!

Staff Contest

We also held a staff contest in recognition of World Autism Awareness Day. We called all staff to action by  asking them to post a selfie on social media and explain what makes them love their job! Here are our winners!

Josh is one of our most skilled therapists. He wrote “I received an e-mail this morning from a father of a former client of mine. He thanked me and told me that even though i only worked with his son for about 3 months, I made a huge difference in their lives. I was both humbled and honored to receive this message. This is why I love working in this field and especially with Hybridge Learning Group, LLC. Although our jobs are often challenging, we get a chance to make a real difference in so many special children and young adult’s lives. On this Autism Awareness Day, I would like to acknowlege all of the hard working BCBA’s, therapists, and office staff at Hybridge.”

Caitlin is one of our newer BCBAs. She has already made such a great impression on our families! She wrote: “I got into this field because I babysat for a little boy with autism and saw firsthand how his family struggled with his diagnosis and disability. On my hardest days, I don’t struggle a fraction of as much as an individual with autism has to each and every day to navigate our world. I have learned so much from my clients and families along the way and am so happy to be in this field”

Paint Party

Our therapist, Heather put together a really great fundraiser at Pinot’s Palette Red Bank. A few staff members as well as many others got together to snack, wine, and paint! A portion of the tickets sold are going to Hybridge’s donation to Autism Speaks as we participate in their Walk Now For Autism events this year!

Micki, Vicki and Heather…Hybridge girls!

Here is the whole group showing off their works of art!

North Jersey Office

The North Jersey office is officially open! Shadia and Melissa and getting settled and scheduling intakes so give them a call! Check out the space!

Stay tuned for updates on more of our events and Hybridge news!
